Our 1/4+ acre pond has a small island (accessed by a bridge) in the center, where it is very peaceful to sit. The pond features native vegetation and hundreds of small “goldfish.” It draws local birds and birds that are migrating along the West Coast flyway. We have a resident heron; and ducks and eagles are common visitors. The pond is also home for a variety of frogs and turtles.
